Just go down to your local home improvement store or browse the stores online on a regular basis. A lot of times, you will be amazed how radically some stores discount their prices of certain products at any given time of the year and not only during the traditional sales time at the end of winter or summer. So it definitely pays to regularly check the prices and compare different shops.
Especially if you have a look at the prices of outdoor dining sets or patio sets you might be shocked at first sight about how high a piece of metal can be. They usually come with a table and a set of four to six chairs and most commonly are made of either wood, metal or rattan. And since it is that kind of materials and it will be left in your garden and not your living room, you do not want to end up spending a fortune on your garden furniture. However, you still want it to look stylish and beautiful. So opt for selected products on sale and do not worry about quality: Most of the time, these products are on sale because the stores simply want to get rid of their out-dated furniture from last season.
Another option would be the classic garage sale or flea markets. They are especially popular on weekends and you just need to get there early in the morning and stroll leisurely through the stalls while sipping a coffee. You might be lucky and find little gems such as sun loungers or patio sets for a great price. Often times they have not even been used that much and just show little or no signs of deterioration at all. Nevertheless, it is advisable to have a thorough look at the material, the manufacturer of the furniture, how old it is and the general state of the piece, e.g. if it is water and UV resistant, easy to clean or frost resistant.
